music - damien jurado and sarah juradoDamien is a folk singer who claims Seattle as home. Beginning his career in the late 90's with Sub Pop, he has since released 4 full lengths with Secretly Canadian and is currently finishing production on his next album. Being a fan of all things Seattle, especially its music scene, Damien is thrilled to be involved in finding the New Guard of talent here. When not playing music, Damien enjoys spending time with his 9 year old son Miles. Sarah is a freelance photographer and do-er of things. That vague description serves well to cover any number of tasks: managing her husband Damien's music career, redeveloping web content for local boutiques and restaurants, guest blogging, music reviewing, and rarely napping. Sarah enjoys roadtrips, good boots, black coffee, red lipstick, and finding the best new music being created in Seattle. |

art - joey veltkampJoey Veltkamp creates beauty daily. His sketches and paintings are interspersed throughout the Seattle landscape—from the pink tiger at The Hideout to the intricate chapbooks drawn for The Sorrento (published by Matthew Stadler). In addition to his own artwork, Joey works to expose the community to the talents of other artists, in his blog "best of." Serving as Seattle University's artist-in-residence, Joey combines his strengths as a connector and creator. |
